As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll be a critical player in our small but mighty Security Team, responsible for strengthening our overall security posture and driving security initiatives company-wide. Get ready to collaborate across teams, own key security projects, and make a real difference in the health and well-being of millions.
What You'll Do:
Vulnerability Management Guru: Lead and refine our vulnerability management program, ensuring timely identification, assessment, and remediation of risks across our entire tech stack.
Security Champion: Partner with engineering, IT, and product teams to seamlessly embed security best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) and operational processes.
Security Architect: Design, implement, and maintain robust security controls and measures across our systems, networks, and cloud environments.
Compliance Advocate: Assist in crucial compliance initiatives, ensuring we meet and maintain relevant security standards and regulations.
Threat Hunter: Contribute to threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response, helping us maintain a proactive and resilient security posture.
Policy Maker: Develop and refine internal security policies, standards, and tools to support our company-wide security objectives.
Security Evangelist: Support and lead security awareness efforts, fostering a strong security culture across the entire organization.
Trendsetter: Continuously evaluate emerging threats, technologies, and practices, driving improvements to Welltech’s overall security maturity.
What You'll Bring:
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in a relevant security role.
Education: BS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Core Knowledge: Solid understanding of security principles, vulnerabilities, and common attack techniques.
Automation Skills: Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Go) to streamline security processes.
Vulnerability Expertise: Experience with security vulnerabilities described in OWASP Top 10 and SANS 25.
Mobile Security Acumen: Experience securing mobile applications.
Cloud Expertise: Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
Framework Familiarity: Understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
Bonus Points: Experience with PCI compliance.
