Join Parity and Secure the Future of Web3
Parity Technologies is at the heart of the Web3 revolution, building the core infrastructure that powers a decentralized future. We're the creators of Polkadot, Substrate, and Kusama, and we're looking for passionate cybersecurity professionals to help us build a more secure and trustworthy internet.
Imagine a world where individuals control their data and online services are built on transparent, secure foundations. That's the future we're building, and we need your help to make it a reality.
The Mission: Secure Software Engineer
As a Security-Focused Software Engineer, you'll be on the front lines, protecting the Polkadot ecosystem from emerging threats. This isn't your typical application security role. You'll be immersed in:
Secure Rust Development: Crafting and optimizing secure Rust code for critical components and tools, ensuring the resilience of our infrastructure.
Deep Dive Code Auditing: Conducting rigorous manual and automated code reviews to identify and eliminate vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.
ML-Powered Security Innovation: Designing and implementing cutting-edge machine learning models to automate security analysis, detect anomalies, and mitigate threats across the ecosystem.
Bug Bounty & Vulnerability Management: Managing bug bounty submissions, triaging security reports, and collaborating with ethical hackers to resolve vulnerabilities.
Championing Secure Development: Collaborating with engineering teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, fostering a security-first culture.
Threat Modeling & Risk Assessment: Proactively identifying and assessing security risks across our blockchain infrastructure, smart contracts, and core software.
Staying Ahead of the Curve: Researching and implementing the latest advancements in secure coding, ML-driven security, and blockchain security, ensuring we're always one step ahead.
What You'll Bring to the Table
We're looking for a security engineer with a passion for breaking things (ethically, of course!) and a drive to build secure systems from the ground up. Ideally, you'll have:
Solid experience with secure coding practices and a deep understanding of memory safety concepts.
Proven experience in code auditing, vulnerability analysis, and/or exploit development.
Experience triaging and resolving bug bounty reports, demonstrating your ability to prioritize and address critical vulnerabilities.
A working knowledge of machine learning techniques applied to security, such as anomaly detection, fuzzing, and automated threat detection.
Familiarity with cryptographic principles, blockchain security, and decentralized systems.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and an offensive security mindset – you think like an attacker to defend like a fortress.
If you're excited about writing secure software, auditing code for vulnerabilities, and pioneering ML-driven security solutions for Web3, we want to hear from you!
