Your Mission: Shielding Innovation
As a key member of our Security Team, you'll play a vital role in safeguarding our networks, systems, and code. You'll be empowered to advocate for and implement security best practices, working in a dynamic environment that values innovation and direct feedback. What You'll Do:
Security Advisory: Partner with Infra Engineering and IT teams, providing expert guidance on security topics and supporting their work with a pragmatic, risk-based approach. This includes:
Automating security controls, hardening developer and IaC processes (building, testing, release), securing the supply chain, and implementing related metrics, monitoring, and audits.
Hardening network, VM, container images, and systems; resolving cloud issues and misconfigurations.
Managing endpoint security, infrastructure identity and access management, SIEM, threat intelligence, and addressing common misconfigurations (DNS, email, networking, etc.).
Penetration Testing: Organize and conduct penetration testing of our infrastructure, collaborating with external security experts to identify and address vulnerabilities.
Tooling & Innovation: Select and implement cutting-edge tools and methodologies to continuously improve our security posture. We strongly prefer FOSS solutions where possible!
Security Standards & Automation: Develop and implement company-wide security standards and guidelines, and automate their deployment to ensure consistent security practices.
Mentorship: Share your expertise and mentor other team members on all aspects of security, IT, and infrastructure engineering.
What You'll Bring:
A focus on delivering impactful security outcomes rather than just completing activities.
Excellent collaboration skills, enabling you to partner with multiple teams, clarify requirements, communicate effectively, and influence stakeholders.
Deep comfort level with a Linux-based tech stack, including managed VMs, SSH, VPNs, and firewalls.
Extensive experience with Kubernetes (including managed services), Terraform, Ansible, Github, Gitlab, ArgoCD, and image registries.
Hands-on experience with various cloud platforms, including Google Cloud and other non-managed providers.
Bonus points for understanding blockchain technology and associated tooling (wallets, keys, RPC nodes, and indexers).
