The Opportunity:
As our Lead Security Architect, you'll spearhead the technical vision for securing Decagon AI's cutting-edge customer experience platform. You'll collaborate with security leaders to architect a comprehensive security framework that defends against modern, AI-enabled threats while maintaining an enterprise-ready security and compliance posture. This role offers the unique opportunity to apply deep AI security expertise and develop enterprise software architecture within a high-growth, innovative environment.
What You'll Do:
Design and implement a complete security framework encompassing customer-facing products, infrastructure security, and enterprise integration points.
Collaborate with AI/ML teams to embed security into model training, fine-tuning, and deployment processes, empowering research teams to innovate safely.
Define security standards and practices for enterprise customers, including tenant isolation, data protection, and compliance frameworks.
Lead security incident response, ensuring rapid resolution while maintaining service availability.
Mentor security engineers and the broader engineering organization, establishing engineering practices that scale with rapid team growth.
What You'll Bring:
7+ years of industry experience in security engineering.
Experience designing secure, multi-tenant systems that handle millions of concurrent conversations.
Deep understanding of Google Cloud security architecture, including VPC security, IAM, and enterprise-grade deployment patterns.
Proven track record of building security systems that meet enterprise expectations (SIEM, Vulnerability Management, IAM, compliance platforms).
Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and other enterprise security requirements.
Bonus Points:
Prior experience working with multi-modal models.
Deep knowledge of security fine-tuning, model poisoning, and adversarial attacks specific to conversational AI.
Proficiency in leveraging advanced reasoning and software development tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Gemini to enhance personal productivity and design efficiency.
