Are you a seasoned Security Engineer ready to build a world-class security program from the ground up at an early-stage AI infrastructure company? We're seeking our very first full-time Security Engineer to architect, implement, and lead our security strategy across product, infrastructure, compliance, and incident response. Your expertise will be critical in safeguarding advanced AI systems and sensitive data, fostering deep customer trust in a rapidly evolving landscape.
What You'll Build & Lead
Pioneer our incident detection and response capabilities, from initial signal triage through deep investigation, comprehensive post-mortems, and driving lasting engineering improvements.
Own and define the entire security roadmap, encompassing product security, robust cloud infrastructure, corporate security best practices, incident response protocols, and compliance frameworks.
Fortify our APIs, platforms, and data systems through meticulous threat modeling, rigorous design and code reviews, advanced access controls, and secure secrets management.
Develop and implement cutting-edge monitoring and detection capabilities, leveraging SIEM or XDR tooling proactively, and translating emerging threats into actionable security enhancements.
Champion SOC 2 (or comparable) compliance initiatives, including designing controls, responding to security questionnaires, managing policies, conducting vendor reviews, and leading audits.
Collaborate across legal, engineering, operations, and commercial teams to implement stringent controls for data access, provenance, retention, deletion, isolation, and auditability.
Who You Are
You bring at least 5 years of hands-on security engineering experience, with a strong background in detection, incident response, and infrastructure security.
Proven track record of leading security incidents from initial detection and containment through root-cause analysis and successful follow-up remediation.
Extensive experience implementing or operating SOC 2 or a comparable security framework, adept at translating complex requirements into practical technical and operational controls.
Hands-on experience with offensive security methodologies, such as penetration testing, red teaming, bug bounty participation, or vulnerability research.
Specialized background in securing AI or machine learning infrastructure, agent execution environments, critical data platforms, or systems handling untrusted or sensitive data.
Proficient with attack surface management, SIEM or XDR platforms, threat modeling, robust authentication and authorization systems, secrets management, and comprehensive data protection controls.
Eager to build a security function from scratch, comfortable remaining deeply hands-on, and skilled at engaging effectively with customers, auditors, and legal teams.
