Are you ready to architect, build, and secure the future of AI infrastructure from the ground up? As our very first full-time Security Engineer, you won't just join a team; you'll build the security program that safeguards cutting-edge AI systems and sensitive data for an early-stage, high-growth company. This is a rare opportunity to define security strategy, implement robust defenses, and foster unwavering customer trust across product, infrastructure, compliance, and incident response.
What You'll Architect and Delive
Own the entire incident lifecycle, from proactive detection and initial alert response to in-depth investigation, thorough postmortems, and driving lasting engineering improvements to prevent recurrence.
Define and strategize the comprehensive security roadmap, encompassing product, cloud infrastructure, corporate security posture, incident response capabilities, and robust compliance initiatives.
Fortify our critical APIs, platforms, and sensitive data systems by implementing advanced threat modeling, rigorous design and code reviews, robust identity controls, and secure secrets management.
Architect, build, and operate sophisticated security monitoring, SIEM/XDR detection capabilities, and incident response frameworks, actively investigating and neutralizing emerging threats.
Drive and champion SOC 2 compliance and cultivate customer trust through meticulous control design, expert handling of security questionnaires, comprehensive policy management, diligent vendor reviews, and successful audit navigation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, commercial, engineering, and operations teams to meticulously implement and enforce controls for data access, provenance, permitted use, retention, deletion, isolation, and auditability.
What We're Seeking in a Security Leade
A minimum of 5 years of hands-on security engineering expertise, specializing in areas such as infrastructure security, advanced detection, rapid incident response, or robust identity management.
Proven experience autonomously leading security incidents from initial detection and containment through comprehensive root-cause analysis and driving impactful follow-up engineering work.
Demonstrated experience in implementing or operating SOC 2 or a comparable security framework, with the ability to translate complex compliance requirements into actionable technical and operational controls.
Specific experience securing cutting-edge AI or machine learning infrastructure, agent execution environments, critical data platforms, or systems handling untrusted or highly sensitive data.
Proficiency with SIEM/XDR tooling, comprehensive attack surface monitoring, sophisticated threat modeling methodologies, advanced authentication and authorization mechanisms, and robust data protection controls.
Valuable offensive security experience, including penetration testing, red teaming, bug bounty participation, or vulnerability research, complemented by recent hands-on engineering contributions.
Exceptional communication and sharp judgment skills, enabling effective collaboration across engineering, legal, audit, customer-facing, and operations teams.
