Your Mission: Defend Airwallex as a Staff Corporate Security Engineer
As a Staff Corporate Security Engineer, you'll be on the front lines, protecting Airwallex's enterprise systems and employees from the ever-evolving threat landscape. This is a highly technical role where you'll leverage your expertise in digital forensics, incident response, and security tooling to defend our modern corporate environment.
What You'll Do:
Incident Response & Forensics: Investigate and respond to malware, phishing attacks, and other security incidents with precision.
Security Control Innovation: Design, develop, test, and evaluate cutting-edge security controls tailored for a rapidly growing global business.
Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for emerging threats by analyzing log sources and identifying suspicious activity.
Alerting & Automation: Design and implement security alerts and automated workflows to streamline the incident response lifecycle.
Infrastructure Security: Secure our corporate IT infrastructure, remediating vulnerabilities across identity providers, endpoints, corporate networks, and other critical platforms.
Tooling & Impact: Deploy, configure, and operate security tooling with a relentless focus on maximizing impact and effectiveness.
What You'll Bring:
Passion & Drive: A deep passion for tackling the complex cybersecurity challenges of high-growth startups.
Self-Motivation: A self-starter attitude with a strong desire to learn new skills and deepen existing expertise.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Experience: 7+ years of experience in a security engineering or incident response role within a tech company.
Tool Expertise: Strong proficiency with Crowdstrike, Splunk, or other industry-standard security monitoring tools.
Threat Landscape Mastery: In-depth understanding of common attacker tools and techniques, with the ability to detect, prevent, and respond to incidents effectively.
Cloud Experience: Experience with GCP, Alibaba Cloud, or other cloud platforms (preferred).
Identity & Access Management: Experience with Okta, Google Workspace, and cloud-based VPN services (preferred).
Endpoint Security: Experience securing endpoints, including with MDM tooling such as Kandji or Intune.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
