Are you a Senior Data Scientist passionate about securing the future of AI? We're seeking an exceptional individual to join our client's core AI team, directly shaping the intelligence behind their groundbreaking AI security platform. In this high-impact role, you will lead hands-on across data curation, advanced model development, rigorous evaluation, and performance optimization.
You'll be instrumental in pioneering NLP models designed to detect and mitigate critical risks in AI interactions, from sensitive data exposure and unsafe content to sophisticated adversarial or malicious prompts. This is your chance to architect and refine cutting-edge transformer-based models and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies, creating robust datasets and evaluation frameworks for reliable, low-latency AI security solutions. We're looking for someone with deep, practical expertise in NLP, transformers, model training, and data curation, coupled with a pragmatic, production-focused approach to machine learning experimentation.
What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
Design, curate, clean, and maintain pristine datasets for critical NLP and AI security use cases, including safe/unsafe prompts, sensitive-data exposure scenarios, and adversarial examples.
Innovate by generating and augmenting synthetic datasets using LLMs to cover complex edge cases and enhance model robustness.
Develop, train, and meticulously fine-tune NLP and transformer-based models for real-time risk detection and classification.
Pioneer and enhance custom classifiers and Named Entity Recognition (NER) models for identifying sensitive or highly relevant information.
Architect comprehensive evaluation pipelines and benchmarks to precisely measure model quality, accuracy, false positives, and overall performance.
Lead continuous experimentation with diverse modeling approaches, proactively improving models as new use cases and AI-related threats emerge.
Drive the optimization of models and inference workflows for demanding production environments where speed and efficiency are paramount.
Champion collaboration with engineering and AI teams to seamlessly transition models and experiments from research into reliable production solutions.
Conduct deep analysis of model performance and datasets to identify gaps, edge cases, and significant opportunities for improvement.
Contribute significantly to defining and documenting practical AI/ML workflows, best practices, and knowledge sharing.
Who You Are: Qualifications & Requirements
4+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or in a closely related role.
Strong hands-on experience with NLP, transformer-based models, and modern language-model architectures.
Exceptional programming skills in Python.
Proven experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.
Proficiency with libraries and ecosystems such as Hugging Face and scikit-learn.
Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning, or adapting machine learning models for real-world applications.
Extensive experience working with NER, tokenization, text classification, or other advanced NLP techniques.
Strong data preparation and analysis skills using Pandas or similar tools.
Expertise in designing model evaluations, benchmarks, and experiments to meticulously assess model quality and reliability.
Solid understanding of model performance and inference optimization techniques.
Familiarity with critical AI security concepts such as prompt injection, sensitive-data/PII exposure, adversarial inputs, and data privacy.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on ambiguous ML problems, driving solutions from conception to implementation.
