The Mission: AI Security Engineer - White Hat Hacker Extraordinaire
Are you a hands-on security engineer with a hacker's mindset and an engineer's judgment? Our client is seeking a formidable talent to continuously challenge, test, and fortify their revolutionary AI product and its underlying infrastructure. This isn't about periodic audits; it's about embedding security as a dynamic, ongoing practice.
As a key player, you'll embody the spirit of a white-hat hacker, dedicating significant time to proactively break systems, expose vulnerabilities across agents, APIs, identity, memory, permissions, data flows, and infrastructure. Your findings won't just sit in a report; you'll partner directly with engineering teams to understand, prioritize, and implement robust fixes.
We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in modern application and cloud security, comfortable leveraging automation and AI agents to accelerate security testing, vulnerability discovery, triage, and remediation. Day-to-day, you might orchestrate agents to probe system defenses, investigate suspicious behaviors, reproduce complex exploits, harden critical production systems, and continuously evolve a robust defensive security layer around the product.
This role demands a unique blend: an offensive security mindset paired with pragmatic engineering judgment. You thrive on dismantling systems as much as you enjoy rebuilding them stronger, discerning between theoretical risks and meaningful product vulnerabilities. You will be instrumental in making security an intrinsic part of the development lifecycle.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
Continuously red-team the company's product, infrastructure, APIs, and sophisticated agentic systems.
Identify, reproduce, and validate vulnerabilities, then collaborate closely with engineers through to remediation.
Test and fortify AI-specific attack surfaces, including prompt injection, tool misuse, data leakage, permission escalation, memory poisoning, and unsafe agent behavior.
Harness the power of agents, advanced automation, and cutting-edge security tooling to continuously probe systems and unearth weaknesses.
Rigorously triage findings based on exploitability, user impact, and overarching business risk.
Strengthen critical security pillars: authentication, authorization, identity, secrets management, data boundaries, and infrastructure security.
Architect and implement lightweight, self-improving monitoring, testing, and defensive systems that evolve seamlessly with product development.
Champion pragmatic security standards and development practices, fostering a secure culture without introducing unnecessary process overhead.
What You'll Bring
Extensive hands-on experience in application, product, cloud, or offensive security.
Proven ability to identify, exploit, debug, and swiftly remediate complex vulnerabilities.
A solid understanding of modern web architecture, RESTful APIs, authentication/authorization protocols, cloud infrastructure, and robust data security principles.
Strong engineering fundamentals and sufficient coding proficiency to develop custom security tooling, automation, and targeted fixes.
Deep familiarity with AI/LLM security risks and a passionate interest in securing sophisticated agentic systems.
The agility to thrive in a fast-moving, zero-to-one environment where security models evolve in lockstep with product innovation.
Pragmatic judgment: You know established security best practices, apply them effectively, and understand when deeper investigation is truly warranted.
