About the Opportunity: Lead Security Enginee
We are searching for a visionary and hands-on Lead Security Engineer to lay the bedrock of our security foundation. This isn't just a role; it's a chance to be the architect of security across our entire product ecosystem and infrastructure. You will define technical direction, dive deep into code and cloud environments, and sculpt the security team that will grow under your leadership.
Your Impact: What You'll Be Building
As our Lead Security Engineer, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our innovative platform and empowering our rapid growth. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Security Architecture: Own and define the security architecture and roadmap across our product and cloud environments, leveraging threat modeling to prioritize and focus efforts where they yield maximum impact.
Elevate Application Security (AppSec): Champion our AppSec practice by securing the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), establishing robust code-review guardrails, meticulously managing dependencies and secrets, and implementing cutting-edge pre-production security testing.
Drive Cloud Security Excellence: Lead the charge in optimizing our cloud security posture, focusing on stringent IAM and least-privilege principles, secure account structuring, defining network boundaries, and implementing granular data-access controls.
Lead Incident Response: Take a pivotal role in incident response, participating in an essential on-call rotation and acting as the senior responder during critical security incidents.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and cultivate a nascent security team, shaping its operational processes and fostering a culture of security excellence.
Who You Are: The Foundation We're Looking Fo
You are a seasoned security professional with a passion for building and securing transformative technology. We’re looking for someone who brings:
Extensive Expertise: 10+ years in security engineering, demonstrating deep expertise in at least two of the following domains: Application Security (AppSec), cloud/infrastructure security, and Incident Response (IR), with proven credibility in the third.
A Builder's Mindset: You are not just an operator; you are a creator. You have a track record of architecting and implementing new security capabilities and setting strategic direction, rather than solely managing established programs.
Collaborative Leadership: Strong cross-functional partnership skills are essential. You understand that security is an enabler, empowering the business to build and operate safely and efficiently.
Bonus Points if You Have:
Experience securing consumer products at scale.
Exposure to AI/ML abuse prevention or model-security challenges.
Prior experience as an early or founding security hire in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
Annual Salary Range: $275,000 to $395,000
