We're looking for a passionate and experienced Founding Privacy Engineer to spearhead the development of a robust privacy program that safeguards our customers' trust and fuels Ramp's continued growth. What You'll Do: Architect the Foundation of Privacy
Build Core Privacy Primitives: Design and implement privacy-focused application components, seamlessly integrating them into our existing product suite.
Collaborate on Secure Design: Partner closely with engineering teams to architect and deploy solutions that are inherently privacy-centric and secure from the ground up.
Implement Data Lifecycle Strategies: Enhance, implement, and deploy cutting-edge data retention and anonymization strategies across our entire environment.
Navigate the Legal Landscape: Work in tandem with Ramp's Privacy Counsel to monitor evolving legal standards and proactively update Ramp systems and processes to maintain compliance.
What You Need: Your Arsenal of Skills
Proven Software Engineering Experience: Minimum of 4 years building and deploying software solutions.
Dedicated Privacy Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of focused experience in platform, privacy, and/or security engineering.
Growth Mindset: A strong desire to thrive in a fast-paced environment, continuously learn, and master your craft.
Solution-Oriented: The ability to translate business and product ideas into practical and effective engineering solutions.
Nice-to-Haves: Sharpen Your Edge
Legal Acumen: Working knowledge of data-protection legal requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Technical Proficiency: Experience with Python (Flask), React, and AWS (ECS, as well as other core services).
