As a Senior Security Engineer, you are more than a defender—you're an integral architect of our secure, next-generation programmable banking infrastructure. You'll think like an attacker to proactively identify vulnerabilities, close potential loopholes, and empower our Product and Engineering teams to ship groundbreaking features at speed, without ever compromising security.
What You'll Be Doing
Proactively conduct deep-dive security reviews of Pave Bank’s platform and product code, guiding engineers toward robust, secure solutions.
Champion a security-first culture by educating engineering and product teams on secure coding and design practices, emphasizing their critical importance.
Architect, develop, and contribute to powerful internal tools, libraries, and automation to elevate our security testing capabilities and enforcement mechanisms.
Lead ongoing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing efforts across our internal and external applications.
Stay relentlessly current on the latest cyber threats, attack techniques, and adversary tactics, and strategically apply this intelligence to fortify our systems.
Orchestrate and oversee comprehensive third-party application security reviews and penetration tests.

A strong general understanding of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency systems, and their unique security implications.

Hands-on experience writing secure backend code in Go.
Familiarity with critical frontend security concerns, especially within TypeScript-based Single-Page Applications (SPAs).
A solid understanding of common authentication and authorization patterns (e.g., OAuth2, Google Zanzibar, RBAC).
Previous experience operating in a security role within a fast-paced startup or demanding fintech environment.
Exposure to smart contract or Web3 security concepts.
