About the Role: Junior Security Engineer

As a Junior Security Engineer, you won't just respond to threats; you'll anticipate them. You'll play a pivotal role in fortifying our innovative platform, identifying vulnerabilities, closing loopholes, and empowering our Product and Engineering teams to deliver quickly and securely. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on exposure across the full security lifecycle – from meticulous code reviews to dynamic penetration testing – all with dedicated mentorship from our experienced engineers.
What You'll Be Doing
Conduct thorough platform and product code reviews to pinpoint security flaws and guide engineers towards robust, secure solutions.
Architect and implement internal tools, libraries, and automation to elevate our security testing capabilities and enforcement mechanisms.
Proactively test internal and external applications to discover and mitigate vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.
Collaborate on third-party application security reviews and penetration tests, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
Champion secure coding and design practices, educating engineering and product teams to embed security into every stage of development.
Stay ahead of the curve: continuously monitor emerging threats and cutting-edge attack techniques, assessing their potential impact on our systems.
Who We're Looking For
Your Core Toolkit
An ingrained "adversary-first" mindset – you're always thinking like an attacker.
Solid familiarity with common attacker tools, techniques, and the exploitable insecure development practices (e.g., a strong understanding of the OWASP Top 10).
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Go, Python, or TypeScript).
Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-driven, highly motivated, and possess an insatiable desire for continuous learning and growth.
Bonus Points
Exposure to blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency systems, understanding their unique security implications.
Practical experience with security tooling, participation in CTFs (Capture The Flag), bug bounty programs, or contributions to open-source security projects.
Previous internship or work experience within a dynamic, fast-moving startup environment.
