Job Description

AI Red Team Expert (Freelance) - Help Secure the Future of Language

LILT is on a mission to make the world's information accessible to everyone. We're using cutting-edge AI, machine translation, and human-in-the-loop expertise to redefine how global communication happens. Join us as a freelance AI Red Team expert and play a crucial role in ensuring the security and robustness of our AI systems.

Imagine diving deep into the heart of our AI, pushing its limits, and uncovering vulnerabilities before malicious actors can. If you're passionate about AI security, ethical hacking, and possess a strong understanding of generative AI models, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

As a freelance AI Red Team expert, you'll be at the forefront of adversarial testing, focusing on:

Crafting innovative prompts and scenarios to rigorously test model guardrails.
Exploring creative techniques to bypass restrictions and uncover hidden weaknesses.
Systematically documenting your findings, providing actionable insights for improvement.
Collaborating with engineers and safety researchers to enhance system defenses and security protocols.
Working with diverse AI systems including LLMs, multimodal models, inference services, and RAG/embeddings.

Is This You?

Here's what we're looking for:

Key Criteria:

Generative AI Expertise: Deep understanding of generative AI and main models, including their underlying architectures, training processes, and potential failure modes. Familiarity with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF) is essential.
Cybersecurity & Threat Modeling Prowess: Solid experience in cybersecurity principles, including threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing. You can identify attack vectors, simulate real-world threats, and understand the potential impact of an attack.
Data Analysis & NLP Skills: Strong analytical skills to dissect model outputs, identify subtle biases or factual errors, and recognize patterns in how the model responds to different inputs. A background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) is a plus.
Ethical Hacking Mindset: A strong commitment to using your skills for defensive and security-focused purposes, adhering to a strict ethical code, and understanding the importance of responsible disclosure.
