We're seeking a passionate and experienced IT Security Engineer to fortify our defenses against internal and external threats. This isn't just a job; it's a critical mission to protect Bjak's systems, devices, and data. You'll report directly to senior management, playing a pivotal role in ensuring our compliance with regulatory expectations and safeguarding our innovative technology assets.
Your Mission:
Shield Our Assets: Implement and manage advanced security tools and protocols to protect our devices, systems, and data.
Hunt Threats: Proactively monitor and respond to potential security breaches and vulnerabilities.
Architect Security: Establish robust security standards, procedures, and policies for endpoint and system protection.
Conduct Audits & Risk Assessments: Identify and remediate security gaps through thorough audits and risk assessments.
Lead Incident Response: Take command during data breaches and security threats, orchestrating swift and effective responses.
Ensure Compliance: Navigate regulatory requirements and support investigations or audits with precision.
Collaborate & Educate: Work closely with IT, operations, and compliance teams to reinforce security best practices and train employees on data protection and cybersecurity awareness.
Your Arsenal:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
2–3+ years of hands-on experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or information security roles.
Proven experience with endpoint protection, firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and security incident management.
Deep understanding of data protection laws, security frameworks, and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
Experience in Cloud Security with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Experience conducting internal audits and interfacing with regulators or compliance bodies is a strong advantage.
Ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Immediate availability is highly preferred.
