Are you a passionate cybersecurity professional ready to make a significant impact? Bjak is seeking a skilled IT Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. You'll be at the forefront of protecting our systems, devices, and data from both internal and external threats. In this critical role, reporting directly to senior management, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of our technology assets and maintaining compliance with regulatory expectations.
Your Impact: Key Responsibilities
Implement and manage a robust suite of security tools and protocols to safeguard our devices, systems, and data.
Proactively monitor for and respond to potential security breaches and vulnerabilities.
Establish and enforce security standards, procedures, and policies for comprehensive endpoint and system protection.
Conduct thorough security audits and risk assessments to identify and remediate security gaps.
Lead incident response efforts during data breaches and security threats, minimizing impact and ensuring swift recovery.
Ensure unwavering compliance with regulatory requirements and provide support during investigations and audits.
Collaborate seamlessly with IT, operations, and compliance teams to foster a culture of security best practices.
Develop and deliver engaging training programs for employees on data protection and cybersecurity awareness, particularly within operational areas.
What You'll Bring: Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
2–3+ years of hands-on experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or information security roles.
Proven expertise with endpoint protection, firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and security incident management.
Deep understanding of data protection laws, security frameworks, and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, etc.).
Experience in Cloud Security with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Bonus points for experience conducting internal audits and interfacing with regulators or compliance bodies.
Ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
