As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll be a trusted advisor, a technical expert, and a security champion, working closely with our GTM, sales, engineering, and product teams. Your mission? To build unwavering customer trust and be the go-to security resource throughout the sales cycle.
What You'll Do:
Become a Zapier Security Guru: Master our internal security practices and the governance features of our powerful platform.
Be a Strategic Security Advisor: Provide expert guidance to sales and customer success on complex, high-value deals, ensuring security is always top of mind.
Lead the Charge in Risk Mitigation: Rapidly address and resolve technical security concerns raised by customers during critical deal cycles.
Represent Zapier's Security Posture: Confidently lead customer-facing security briefings to address concerns and build trust.
Be the Voice of the Customer: Translate customer security requirements into actionable feedback for internal product and security teams, influencing roadmap and priorities.
Proactively Identify Potential Concerns: Partner with enterprise GTM teams to analyze customer security questionnaires and identify areas for improvement in our platform's governance.
Develop Engaging Sales Enablement Content: Create and maintain compelling resources like Trust Center knowledge base articles, security one-pagers, objection handling guides, and insightful whitepapers.
Collaborate with Product Marketing: Ensure our security messaging aligns perfectly with customer needs and market expectations.
What You'll Bring:
Deep Security Expertise: 7+ years of experience in technical security roles, such as a security architect or product/application security engineer.
Technical Mastery: A strong understanding of encryption, IAM, network security, and cloud-native architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure).
GenAI Security Awareness: Understanding of risks and mitigations for LLMs and GenAI applications.
Compliance Proficiency: Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and GDPR.
AI/ML Utilization: Experience with using LLM and GenAI tools for high-impact, role-relevant opportunities to improve speed, quality, and outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to partner effectively with internal engineering and product teams to drive security initiatives.
Exceptional Communication Skills: The ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing.
Customer-Facing Experience: Prior experience working directly with customers, addressing their questions and concerns, and incorporating their feedback.
Content Creation Prowess: The ability to build compelling customer-facing content and confidently present in high-pressure situations.
Sales Team Alignment: Experience working alongside account executives, customer success managers, or solution engineers and engaging with customers in security-sensitive deals.
