Software Security Engineer (Embedded)
WRITER is on a mission to revolutionize how the world communicates with cutting-edge AI/AGI services. We're looking for a talented Software Security Engineer (Embedded) to join our team and help us build and scale the systems that protect our users, their data, and their interactions with our groundbreaking technology.
Imagine security that's so seamlessly integrated, it's invisible to the user but impenetrable to threats. At WRITER, we believe security shouldn't be an obstacle, but a bedrock. In this role, you'll blend your deep software engineering expertise with a product-focused mindset to deliver security tools, frameworks, and controls that empower millions of users without slowing them down.
You'll be at the forefront of protecting our platform, tackling challenges like fraud prevention, abuse detection, and identity management. You'll also be building secure-by-default development platforms that enable our engineering teams to innovate quickly and safely. If you're passionate about transforming complex security requirements into elegant, developer-friendly solutions, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
Responsibilities: Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept It
Protect Customers at Scale: Architect and implement robust fraud detection, rate limiting, abuse prevention, and LLM interaction controls (prompt injection prevention, output filtering) to safeguard our users.
Own Customer Identity Security: Design and build secure authentication and authorization systems, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of customer data and AI service interactions.
Engineer Security Platforms: Develop tools and dashboards that automate repetitive security tasks, track vulnerabilities, and enhance cross-team security efficiency.
Build Reusable Security Frameworks: Create secure-by-default APIs, SDKs, cryptographic libraries, and communication frameworks for company-wide use, promoting consistency and security best practices.
Strengthen Platform Security: Implement multi-party authorization, secrets management, audit logging, and zero-trust networking components to fortify our platform against evolving threats.
Empower Developers: Deliver self-service security tools and frameworks that seamlessly integrate with existing engineering workflows, fostering a culture of security ownership.
Lead Technically: Drive the architecture of our security systems, mentor junior engineers, review designs, and influence the overall security strategy across the organization.
