The Opportunity: FDE Security Solutions Engineer
Are you a seasoned security engineer with a passion for both hands-on technical work and strategic advisory? At TENEX, our Forward Deployed Security Solution Engineers operate with a critical dual mandate: you are both a technical practitioner and a trusted security advisor. You'll be instrumental in deploying, managing, and optimizing cutting-edge security tooling across diverse client environments, ensuring their health, improving their posture, and empowering them to proactively address security risks.
Your Impact & Responsibilities
Strategic Tooling Deployment & Management: Architect, configure, and maintain specialized security tooling across one or more critical domains, including: Cloud Security: Wiz, SCCE, Defender for Cloud Continuous Optimization: Ensure the ongoing health and peak performance of customer security tooling by actively remediating misconfigurations, detecting drift, and implementing continuous optimizations. Who You Are: Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience in information security engineering or a related technical field. Your Core Attributes (Soft Skills) Action-Oriented Problem Solver: You possess strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a clear bias toward action and delivering results. Expert Advisory Services: Deliver high-value advisory services, conducting tabletop exercises, comprehensive maturity assessments, and providing compliance readiness support for frameworks like SOC 2, NIST, ISO, and CMMC.
Security Roadmap Development: Craft tailored security roadmaps and posture improvement recommendations, aligning with each customer's unique environment and risk profile.
Empowerment & Training: Educate and enable customers through targeted training sessions on deployed tools and best practices relevant to their specific security landscape.
Seamless Integration: Collaborate closely with the Rapid Deployment team to facilitate efficient log source onboarding and ensure robust cross-tool integrations into the SIEM.
Comprehensive Documentation: Maintain meticulous documentation of all configurations, advisory outputs, and customer environment specifics.
Advanced Problem Solving: Serve as an escalation point for complex technical or advisory challenges, collaborating with Security Solution Architects and management to find innovative solutions.
Technical & Industry Expertise
Demonstrable experience deploying and managing security tools across one or more domains: cloud, AI, network, endpoint, or identity security.
Proven track record of delivering technical advisory services, conducting security assessments, or managing consulting engagements.
Strong familiarity with compliance frameworks including SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001, and CMMC.
In-depth understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and its practical application within relevant security domains.
Experience in developing customer-facing security roadmaps and detailed remediation recommendations.
Exceptional technical documentation skills.
