Duties and responsibilities include:Participate in securing our product by catching application-level vulnerabilities in our web apps and APIsDeploy and maintain DevSecOps tools such as Trivy, Bandit, or GitLeaks as part of our CI/CD pipelinesImplement least-privileged access policies for our secrets using Hashicorp VaultHelp investigate automated security alertsImplement and maintain audit log pipelines from our internal tools and external vendorsWork with cutting edge infrastructure tools like AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and HelmImplement identified fixes for software vulnerabilitiesBuild and integrate security tooling by writing basic Python scripts and applicationsWhat you’ll be working on:Amazon Web ServicesTens of containerized microservices written in Python and/or JS processing a total of 15k+ requests per secondKubernetes for deploying servicesInfrastructure as Code in Terraform and HelmDatadog for logging, monitoring, and alertingPostgres for storage and Redis for cachingGitlab for version control and CI/CDPython, Bash, and Docker for local development workflows and CI/CD jobsWhat we’re looking for:You’ve seen how to take advantage of vulnerable web apps and APIs, and you would like to patch themYou’ve performed testing with some variation of security tooling (whether it be Burp Suite, Fiddler, Wireshark, etc.)You have excellent knowledge of how networked services in the cloud work: VPC, IP, TCP, DNS, HTTP, etc.You can use critical thinking skills to determine the impact and severity of the identified vulnerability to our organizationWhat We Offer:Home Office Setup Allowance: $300 one-timeFriday UberEats Allowance: $25/weekLearning & Development Allowance: $300/ per termFitness/Wellness Allowance: $120/per termCandidates can be based anywhere in Canada, provided they maintain a minimum 6-hour overlap with the Eastern Time Zone and are available to work a 40-hour work week.We’re a remote-first company, but you’re always welcome to join us at our head office on 260 Queen Street West in Toronto.
