Our flagship product, Kaleidos, is a game-changing 1-megawatt, fail-safe microreactor designed for rapid deployment. Capable of operating for up to 5 years without refueling, Kaleidos can go anywhere power is needed, replacing traditional diesel generators and providing critical support for essential infrastructure like hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases.
We combine a unique, practical approach to nuclear development with modern software engineering principles. This enables us to rapidly deliver safe, factory-built microreactors using existing, well-qualified materials. Founded in 2020, Radiant is accelerating towards a major milestone: testing our first reactor at the Idaho National Laboratory this summer. Initial customer deliveries are slated to begin in 2028.
About the Opportunity: Senior Network Security Engineer
Are you ready to architect and secure the foundational network infrastructure for a company that's building the future of energy? Radiant is seeking a hands-on Senior Network Security Engineer to take complete ownership of our evolving network as we scale our operations.
This is a high-impact, greenfield opportunity, far from a "maintain the lights" role. You will be the primary architect and administrator for our entire network security fabric, seamlessly bridging our critical on-premise operations with our expanding cloud footprint. You'll lead mission-critical initiatives from day one, including migrating core services to a secure colocation facility (Equinix) and spearheading the redesign of our site-to-site connectivity using cutting-edge Fortinet SD-WAN solutions.
What You'll Be Doing: Lead the strategic design and flawless implementation of migrating on-premise servers and network gear into a secure Equinix datacenter cage, ensuring highly available connectivity between the datacenter, HQ, and warehouse sites. What You Bring: 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience with a deep specialization in security and hybrid cloud environments. Bonus Points For: Proven experience connecting distributed sites (e.g., warehouses, remote offices) via SD-WAN solutions. Serve as the definitive Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our entire Fortinet stack, managing and optimizing FortiGate firewalls (HA pairs), FortiSwitch, and FortiAP.
Design, implement, and manage secure connectivity solutions (VPN/Direct Connect) between our diverse physical infrastructure and our growing cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
Manage complex routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF, to guarantee seamless failover and optimal traffic paths across our advanced SD-WAN fabric.
Drive the implementation of robust Zero Trust principles, manage intricate VLAN segmentation, and proactively monitor for threats using FortiAnalyzer or similar advanced tools.
Profound, hands-on expertise with FortiOS – you're comfortable configuring HA clusters, VDOMs, and complex SD-WAN rules from scratch (an NSE 7 certification is a strong plus).
A solid understanding of cloud networking constructs, including VPCs, VNETs, Transit Gateways, and Security Groups in AWS and Azure.
Willingness and ability to be hands-on with hardware when required – including racking, cabling, and physically configuring devices within the datacenter.
Exceptional ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity issues spanning the physical layer, ISP routing, and cloud firewalls.
Background working in regulated or high-security industries where compliance and robust security are paramount.
Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python to streamline operations.
Be prepared to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to achieve our ambitious mission goals.
