The Role
As a Protective Intelligence & Threat Analyst, you'll be on the front lines, monitoring open-source intelligence (OSINT), social media, and the dark web to detect and assess physical security threats. You'll investigate persons of interest, identify and analyze violent and disruptive threats, and conduct comprehensive risk-based intelligence assessments. Your insights will directly contribute to protecting our people, assets, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze OSINT data to enhance discoverability and dissemination.
Research and acquire publicly available information to fill intelligence gaps.
Identify and investigate physical threats using web-based tools and OSINT techniques.
Conduct persons of interest (POI) investigations to evaluate threat credibility and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
Assess potential physical security threats and risks to personnel, assets, and operations.
Prepare and disseminate intelligence briefings and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Leverage advanced analytical tools to improve threat assessments and security investigations.
Maintain protocols and methodologies for protective intelligence gathering, analysis, and dissemination.
Develop and maintain intelligence-sharing relationships internally and externally.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in intelligence analysis, ideally with a focus on protective intelligence or executive protection. You should possess a blend of analytical skills, technical expertise, and exceptional communication abilities.
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
5+ years of experience conducting threat investigations and intelligence analysis.
Proficiency in OSINT investigation techniques.
Knowledge of corporate physical security protocols, risk management, and threat assessment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate risk to diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with web-based tools and social media platforms.
High emotional intelligence.
Ability to solve complex problems and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to build partnerships with stakeholders across various departments (Communications, Government Relations, People, Legal, & Information Security).
Knowledge of Ontic integrated research, threat detection, & case management software (preferred).
Experience with the ATAP threat assessment process (preferred).
Flexibility to work an atypical schedule and be on-call for emergencies (preferred).
Location
This role is based in San Francisco, but we are also open to hiring remotely.
