Network Security Engineer
About the Team
Join OpenAI's Platform and Infrastructure Engineering team, where we're building the secure, scalable, and resilient foundation for artificial general intelligence (AGI). We're not just maintaining infrastructure; we're crafting the backbone that empowers OpenAI's groundbreaking research, product innovation, and corporate operations. If you're passionate about securing the future, this is your chance to be at the forefront.
About the Role
As a Network Security Engineer at OpenAI, you'll be a key player in architecting and fortifying our network infrastructure, spanning both campus and cloud environments. You'll design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance network solutions that bridge on-premises and public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP). Dive deep into routing and switching, ensuring optimal network performance and reliability. Be a champion of automation by leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and GitOps methodologies to streamline network provisioning, enforce configuration consistency, and optimize corporate technology workflows. You will establish comprehensive observability and proactive issue resolution strategies.
If you're obsessed with network automation, security, and building scalable IT solutions, and you thrive in cross-functional settings, we want to hear from you. Collaborate with Security, IT, and Engineering teams to integrate automation workflows with Zero Trust principles, implement role-based access controls, and ensure security best practices are baked into every layer of our network. This is your opportunity to shape OpenAI's security-first, automation-driven network ecosystem.
