Your Mission:
As a Cybersecurity Engineer at Onebrief, you'll be on the front lines, protecting our corporate environments and ensuring the security and integrity of our platform. This is a fully remote opportunity to make a significant impact on a critical mission.
Here's what you'll be doing:
Architect & Implement Security Solutions: Design, build, and deploy robust security measures to safeguard our cloud-native and on-premises applications and infrastructure. Think Zero Trust, MDM, and advanced threat detection.
Continuous Security Enhancement: Proactively evaluate and improve existing security protocols, staying ahead of the curve on emerging threats and vulnerabilities. Be a security thought leader.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with IT and compliance teams to seamlessly integrate security best practices throughout the entire device and application lifecycle.
Security Audits & Assessments: Provide critical evidence for security audits and assessments, and translate recommendations into actionable improvements to fortify our overall security posture.
Incident Response Leadership: Lead the charge in detecting, responding to, and mitigating security incidents, minimizing impact and ensuring business continuity.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
You're a passionate cybersecurity professional with a strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and a proven ability to secure complex environments. You're driven by innovation, thrive in collaborative settings, and are committed to staying at the forefront of the cybersecurity landscape.
Here's what we're looking for:
Background & Experience:
5-7+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
Hands-on experience integrating enterprise cloud services with cybersecurity tooling.
Deep understanding of cloud security principles, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in deploying, configuring, and managing cloud-based security solutions, including Mobile Device Management (MDM), Zero Trust architectures, and SIEM/SOAR platforms.
Strong automation skills using PowerShell and Bash scripting for streamlining deployments and creating security benchmark remediations.
Experience deploying secure server environments using Amazon Machine Images (AMI) with commercial or open-source security applications, ensuring regular updates and security compliance.
Experience with cloud platforms
Familiarity with operating systems and CLI (Linux, Windows, MacOS) (Terminal/PowerShell)
Experience with the implementation, maintenance, and hardening of security tools
Soft Skills:
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills – able to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-motivated, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to translate business needs into functional software, rapidly developing and deploying internal tooling to meet security objectives.
Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and mitigating security risks
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen
Ability to pass a background check
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (desired, not required).
Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security, GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD), or equivalent are highly valued.
