As our resident AI Security expert, you'll be at the forefront of protecting our applications, infrastructure, and data, while leading the charge in securing our next-generation AI initiatives. You'll be instrumental in shaping our security posture as we continue to scale and embrace emerging technologies.
What You'll Be Doing:
Participating in on-call rotation as part of the Monarch Information Security Team supporting ongoing security operations: monitoring, alerting, incident response, third-party risk assessment, and vulnerability tracking.
Conducting threat modeling, enforcing existing controls, and implementing new security measures to assess and mitigate security and privacy risks across Monarch’s applications, infrastructure, and processes.
Designing and implementing robust security controls for agentic AI deployment architectures, agent tooling integrations, model training, deployment, and inference environments.
Collaborating with the AI/ML team to develop and maintain advanced detection systems for anomalies, data drift, and model abuse, enhancing visibility and resilience across the AI lifecycle.
Championing and enforcing secure AI development practices, aligning with industry best practices and Monarch-specific AI security standards.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
5+ years of security engineering experience, with at least 2 years focused on securing multi-agent AI systems, ML data pipelines, or model deployments.
Expertise in Python and JavaScript, combined with deep knowledge of application security, cloud security (AWS or GCP), and AI agent development.
Proven experience leading security investigations and incident response efforts in complex, cloud-based environments.
In-depth understanding of AI/ML security, including adversarial AI/ML TTPs, model and data protection techniques, and frameworks like MITRE ATLAS and NIST AI RMF.
Familiarity with Risk Management frameworks and experience executing against SOC2, NIST 800-53, and ISO standards.
Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with machine learning, legal, and compliance teams.
Experience thriving in a high-growth startup or fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points:
Experience conducting application security reviews or penetration tests against applications integrating agentic AI components.
Familiarity with secure coding practices for ML and AI systems, data lineage, and model governance frameworks.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, or MLSecOps.
