Your Mission:
Orchestrate Security Strategy: Define and champion Kong's security strategy across all platforms and products, ensuring a robust and proactive security posture.
Command Security Operations: Lead and elevate our global Security Operations and Incident Response team, maintaining peak preparedness and efficiency in a dynamic threat landscape.
Navigate Regulatory Compliance: Design and implement cybersecurity initiatives that align with crucial industry regulations and standards, including SOC2, ISO27001, CRA, DORA, NIS2, and GDPR.
Collaborate & Influence: Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define critical security use cases, proactively detect emerging threats, and ensure continuous compliance with evolving industry standards.
Build & Empower: Cultivate a high-performing, multidisciplinary security engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Champion Customer Security: Understand and address customer security needs and requirements, ensuring their confidence in our platform.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
Cybersecurity Foundation: Deep working knowledge of cybersecurity architectures and frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
Cloud Security Expertise: Proven experience in designing and securing complex cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), with a strong grasp of secure infrastructure design principles.
Hands-On Mastery: Extensive practical experience with a wide range of enterprise security tools and technologies.
Threat Intelligence & Response: Expert-level proficiency in incident detection, threat analysis, security monitoring, and effective incident response methodologies.
Analytical Acumen: Ability to meticulously analyze complex technical environments, accurately identify risks, and develop practical, scalable, and effective security solutions.
Communication Prowess: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts and translate them into clear business value for diverse audiences.
