The Opportunity: Cyber Security Consultant - APAC
We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to join our growing Customer Success team as a Cyber Security Consultant based in Australia, covering the APAC region. This role is far from a transactional consultancy; you will be an embedded, long-term partner dedicated to our key customers throughout their contract, acting as a trusted advisor across the entire customer lifecycle.
You will leverage your deep industry and operational experience to simplify the drive for cyber resilience, aligning with and complementing our customers' cyber strategies and visions. Your focus will be unwavering customer success, ensuring they maximize the value of the Immersive One Platform, mature their cyber capabilities, and achieve true Cyber Workforce Resilience.
You’ll adapt to evolving situations, providing on-the-spot expertise and acting as the go-to resource for all things cyber. Your influence will span from C-suite executives making strategic decisions to the technical teams executing on the ground. Their success is your success – it feels personal.
As a senior individual contributor, your key responsibilities will include:
Partnering with key customers to deeply understand and help achieve their business objectives, cybersecurity initiatives, and desired outcomes.
Establishing strategic roadmaps and programmatic approaches to drive comprehensive cyber workforce resilience.
Engaging C-level executives, technical cybersecurity professionals, and major lines of business through impactful, routine Executive Business Reviews.
Leveraging your extensive cybersecurity knowledge to recommend appropriate improvements to existing programs and suggest innovative new initiatives.
Driving optimal adoption and utilization to maximize the value and impact of the Immersive Labs Platform within customer environments.
Actively immersing yourself in the cybersecurity community to remain informed of evolving threats, trends, and emerging technologies.
Collaborating closely with our product, content, and engineering teams, serving as the voice of the customer to influence product innovation and development.
Program Management & Strategic Support:
Supporting customers in operationalizing and sustainably incorporating Immersive Labs into their cybersecurity programs, leveraging platform metrics, custom reports, and insights to demonstrate value.
Functioning as a primary escalation point and liaison between sales, product leadership, and client accounts, often being the first sales team resource for service delivery inquiries.
Assisting the Customer Success Manager (CSM) in delivering Executive Business Reviews (EBRs), providing executive-level reports and insights that foster long-term account health and expansion opportunities.
What You'll Bring to the Team
We're looking for passionate individuals who are eager to make a difference. If you have proven experience in the following areas, we'd love to hear from you. Don't worry if you don't hit every single point – your potential and drive are just as important:
5+ years of combined experience in an information security practitioner or consulting role, coupled with time spent in a Customer Success or similar client-facing capacity.
Extensive experience in client-facing roles, including consulting and presenting to both C-level executives and technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in IT fundamentals: computer hardware/software, databases, networking, security, and software development.
Authoritative knowledge of information security concepts, domains, compliances, and standards. You are an engaging speaker, capable of articulating value and discussing complex technical concepts in a jargon-free manner.
Hands-on experience with Windows & Linux operating systems, security tools (IDS, firewalls, anti-malware, SIEM), and public cloud environments.
Proven experience leading technical presentations for diverse audiences, from highly technical to non-technical, across all organizational levels.
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cyber Security or Computer Science is desirable.
