Your Mission
As our Senior Security Analyst, you'll be a key player in shaping our security posture from the ground up, especially as we migrate to a new Microsoft tenant. Your expertise will be crucial in defining access management, collaborating with our Workspace Management (WSM) team, and implementing new security controls and monitoring tools.
Reporting directly to the Security & Compliance Manager, you'll work alongside a fellow Security Analyst to strengthen our threat detection and response capabilities and bolster our SOC.
What You'll Be Doing
Fortify our Microsoft Environment: Design and enhance the security of our Azure tenant, Entra ID, and identity and access management.
Collaborate with Workspace Management (WSM): Partner with the team managing Intune and user creation to maintain access control and proactively identify risks.
Triage and Resolve Incidents: Investigate alerts, respond to breaches or policy violations, and ensure effective resolution of security incidents.
Take Ownership: Be proactive in identifying and addressing security concerns, escalating issues only when necessary.
Enhance our SOC: Help implement and improve SIEM and SOAR tooling in collaboration with the other Security Analyst.
Innovate Security Practices: Propose improvements to our monitoring, detection, and automation capabilities.
Lead DDoS Investigations: Take the lead in identifying DDoS victims and guiding them through mitigation strategies.
Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and help us stay one step ahead.
Communicate Effectively: Ensure relevant security updates are communicated to the right stakeholders and that security processes are well-documented.
Engage with External Partners: Participate in discussions with groups like CSIRT-DSP and manage external security contacts.
Empower Internal Teams: Collaborate with other departments to improve their security practices and workflows.

What You Bring to the Table
Proven Security Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in security roles, including incident handling and internal system hardening.
Microsoft Expertise: Deep understanding of securing and managing Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and IAM in real-world environments.
SOC/Blue Team Background: Experience in teams responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats.
Proactive and Hands-on: A knack for identifying weaknesses and taking ownership of security issues.
Exceptional Communication: Ability to create clear documentation and explain security risks effectively to diverse teams.
Reliability and Flexibility: Availability to respond to urgent security matters, even outside of regular hours.
Location: Based in the Netherlands and willing to work on-site approximately two days per week.
Bonus Points
Experience with SIEM and SOAR tools such as Sentinel or Splunk, including setup and optimization.
Relevant certifications (AZ-500, AZ-400, SC-900), although practical experience is paramount.
