Your Mission: Craft the Narrative of Autonomous Security
As a Technical Writer on our Product & Engineering team, you'll be the voice of NodeZero™, translating complex cybersecurity concepts into clear, concise, and engaging documentation that empowers our users to maximize the value of our platform. You'll be a key player in helping organizations stay one step ahead of evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities: Be the Documentation Hero
Develop & Maintain Killer Content: Create and maintain customer-facing documentation, including product guides, API references, integration instructions, and feature release notes. Think: How-to guides that *actually* help.
Translate Tech Jargon: Transform complex cybersecurity and SaaS concepts into documentation that's accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences. No one likes confusing documentation.
Collaborate with the Best: Partner with engineers, product managers, and SMEs to proactively gather information, understand feature intent, and validate technical accuracy. Become a documentation detective!
Agile Documentation Ninja: Participate in Agile ceremonies to ensure documentation aligns perfectly with product release cycles.
Master of the Docs Infrastructure: Maintain a scalable, version-controlled documentation infrastructure using tools like Git, MkDocs, and static site generators.
Style Guide Guru: Design and refine a consistent documentation style guide across all channels and teams. Make documentation look great.
AI Experimenter: Identify and explore opportunities to leverage AI-driven tools (e.g., content suggestion systems, prompt-based authoring tools) to enhance documentation workflows and content quality.
AI Content Creator: Contribute to the creation of intelligent user assistance, AI-generated help content, and internal documentation automation pipelines.
Enablement Expert: Support internal enablement through the development of knowledge base articles, onboarding materials, and contextual support content.
Your Arsenal: What You Need to Succeed
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience as a technical writer for B2B SaaS or developer-facing cybersecurity products.
Proven experience documenting APIs, infrastructure platforms, or security tools.
Expert proficiency in Markdown, Git workflows, Swagger/OpenAPI, and static site generators.
Basic Javascript/CSS proficiency to tweak static site generator appearance.
Ability to read and explain code snippets in formats such as YAML, JSON, Bash, or Python.
Exceptional written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Bonus Points (Preferred Skills):
Familiarity with cybersecurity practices such as penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and zero trust architectures.
Experience writing content for compliance-heavy platforms (FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
Hands-on experience with AI-enabled documentation workflows or authoring tools.

Compensation and Values:
At Horizon3, our people are our most valuable asset. We are committed to a fair, competitive, and transparent compensation structure.
Base salary range: $170,000 - $215,000 annually. The exact salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s location, qualifications, experience, and relevant skills.
Additional compensation: This role may also be eligible for an equity package (in the form of stock options). Other compensation benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
