About the Role: Fortifying Front's Digital Frontiers

At Front, security is not just a feature; it's the bedrock of trust that empowers teams to communicate seamlessly with their customers. We're seeking a driven Senior Security Operations Engineer to be a key guardian of this trust. You will be instrumental in protecting Front’s customers, employees, and our innovative platform by significantly strengthening our detection, response, and overall security operations at scale.

This role is for a proactive problem-solver who thrives amidst complexity, converting signals into decisive actions, and building robust, enduring systems and playbooks rather than just reacting to threats. You'll operate as a critical partner, collaborating closely with Engineering, IT, Legal, and Business leaders to proactively reduce risk, expertly manage incidents, and continuously elevate our security posture across the entire organization.

What You'll Be Doing: Your Impact & Responsibilities

Take full ownership of our end-to-end security incident response lifecycle, from rapid triage and containment to thorough eradication, swift recovery, and crucial post-incident learning.
Architect and continuously enhance our detection coverage across critical domains: cloud infrastructure, endpoint devices, identity management systems, and SaaS applications.
Develop and implement innovative security automation and workflows to drastically reduce manual toil and accelerate incident response times.
Lead in-depth investigations into suspicious activity, potential account compromises, and suspected data exposure events, delivering clear, actionable insights.
Partner strategically with Engineering and IT teams to harden systems, improve logging and telemetry capabilities, and systematically close recurring control gaps.
Drive organizational readiness through engaging tabletop exercises, meticulous runbook creation, insightful metrics reporting, and comprehensive operational reviews.
Manage the configuration and expert tuning of vital security tooling, including SIEM, EDR, and IAM platforms, to minimize noise and maximize alert fidelity.
Communicate with clarity and precision during high-severity situations, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on impact, status, and definitive next steps.

What You'll Bring: Skills & Experience to Thrive

5+ years of dedicated experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, Detection Engineering, or equivalent security-focused roles.
A deep, nuanced understanding of evolving attacker techniques (TTPs) and comprehensive defensive strategies across cloud, endpoint, identity, and network attack surfaces.
Extensive hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, and advanced investigation workflows, including expert log querying and precise alert tuning.
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to streamline security operations and enhance response efficacy.
Demonstrated experience in building scalable incident response processes, developing robust playbooks, and establishing operational metrics that grow with the company.
Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence and guide Engineering and IT partners effectively without relying on formal authority.
A calm, structured approach to decision-making under pressure, complemented by strong, clear written communication during incidents.
AI fluency: The capability to proficiently use AI tools for accelerating investigations (e.g., summarization, clustering, query generation) while rigorously validating outputs and safeguarding sensitive data.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility to work from our Santiago office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays to foster collaboration and team connection, though in-office attendance is not strictly required.

What We Offe

Competitive monthly rate.
6-month contract with a strong possibility of extension.
