Job Description

Secure the Frontier of AI: Regional Physical Security Lead at Fluidstack

Are you ready to shape the future? Fluidstack is building the foundational compute infrastructure that will power the next generation of AI – a technology poised to redefine humanity's freedom and potential. But this power comes with immense responsibility. We're seeking an exceptional Regional Physical Security Lead to safeguard the most valuable artifacts in technology: the AI model weights training on our infrastructure, a threat surface measured in gigawatts. If you thrive on challenges, demand autonomy, and want to build a security program from the ground up, this is your mission.

About Fluidstack: Powering Humanity's Next Leap
Fluidstack is singularly focused on a monumental task: delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else. We believe that powerful, aligned AI will be the biggest lever for human choice ever built, but only if the underlying infrastructure is secure and accessible. We're rethinking every layer of the stack – from acquiring power and designing cutting-edge data centers to operating them with unparalleled speed and scale. Our teams span hardware and software, united by a singular drive to build civilization-scale infrastructure for AI. We're moving at an insane pace, and we need leaders who are just as driven to protect what we're building.

Our Operating Principles: Impact. Urgency. Ownership.

Full Autonomy & Ownership (Be a Barrel): We empower our team members to own initiatives end-to-end. Take scope without being asked, operate outside your core role, and drive results without needing permission.
Insane Urgency: The frontier of AI waits for no one. We operate with relentless speed, pushing every project forward as fast as humanly possible.
Reason from First Principles: Challenge every assumption. We foster zero-analogy thinking, where the best idea wins, free from ego or inherited wisdom.
Love of the Game: We are passionate about the frontier of AI – the most interesting problem of our time. We dedicate long hours and high intensity to advance this critical mission.
Build Something That Actually Matters: We believe your time is best spent on work that genuinely impacts the world. At Fluidstack, you'll be building the bedrock of the AI revolution.

The Security Team: Guardians of the AI Frontier
Joining Fluidstack means stepping into a security role unlike any other. You won't be patching an inherited system; you'll be building an entire security program from scratch, from bare metal to boardroom, as we scale across continents. Here's what that entails:

Securing the AI Frontier: The model weights training on our infrastructure are the most valuable and targeted artifacts in technology. A breach isn't just a leak; it's the frontier walking out the door. Your work directly protects the future of AI.
Greenfield Program Development: This is a rare opportunity to architect, implement, and own an end-to-end security program. You'll define our posture, processes, and technology stack as we grow.
Gigawatt-Scale Threat Surface: Our customers are developing the most consequential technology in human history. Being responsible for the physical and logical security of their work at this scale provides an unparalleled challenge and impact.

The Role: Regional Physical Security Lead
As our Regional Physical Security Lead, you will be the linchpin of our physical security posture across an entire Fluidstack region. This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role demanding a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on operational excellence.

End-to-End Ownership: Own physical security operations across a Fluidstack region, accountable for posture, performance, and incident response across every site and shift.
Lead & Inspire: Lead the regional security team, including site-level personnel and contract guard forces, setting an uncompromising standard for discipline, professionalism, and execution across all facilities.
Customer Trust & Assurance: Serve as the senior security presence for critical customer commitments in the region, managing audits, site visits, contractual obligations, and nurturing key relationships.
Standardization & Adaptation: Develop and standardize post orders, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), access management protocols, and incident response plans across the cluster, while expertly tailoring execution to the unique needs of each site.
Strategic Integration: Partner seamlessly with site operations, facilities, construction, and vendors to embed security into every phase of the region's rapid growth and expansion.

Who You Are: Relentless. Experienced. Visionary.
We're looking for exceptional individuals who embody our operating principles and possess a proven track record of securing complex, large-scale environments. If you don't fit every bullet point exactly but believe you can make a significant impact, we encourage you to apply and tell us where you would shine.
Required Qualifications:

Multi-Site Physical Security Mastery: Proven experience owning physical security across multiple sites or an entire region, with full accountability for security posture and incident management from end-to-end.
Leadership in Security Operations: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate security teams and contract guard forces, consistently setting and upholding a high bar for discipline, professionalism, and operational excellence.
Operational & Executive Acumen: Equally effective walking a perimeter at 2 AM as you are briefing executives on regional risk assessments and strategic initiatives.
Enterprise Customer Engagement: Experience carrying significant security commitments to enterprise customers, successfully navigating audits and fulfilling complex contractual obligations.
Adaptive Standardization: Skill in standardizing SOPs and post orders across diverse sites, maintaining operational consistency without losing the critical on-site instinct for what each facility genuinely requires.

Bonus Points For:

Hyperscale or data center security experience.
Guard force vendor management at scale.
Fluency in physical security systems (Access Control Systems (ACS), Video Management Systems (VMS)).
Multi-site or regional leadership in a high-growth, high-stakes environment.

Salary & Benefits: Invested in Your Success
We believe in rewarding top talent with a comprehensive package that reflects your impact and expertise.

Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity in the form of restricted stock units).
Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
Health, dental, and vision insurance.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
