The Mission: Build, Enable, Protect
As an Information Security Engineer, you'll be embedded within the fabric of Clutch's operations, working closely with engineering, DevOps, IT, and compliance teams. We prioritize automation, scalable practices, and a positive security culture. Our goal? To design and implement controls that are as seamless as they are effective – we're here to solve problems, not block progress.
Your Impact: From Day One
Within 3 Months, You Will:
Dive deep into our AWS/GCP cloud infrastructure, assessing current monitoring coverage and identifying areas for improvement.
Architect, stand up, or refine key security telemetry tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, CSPM).
Collaborate with DevOps to enable real-time alerting and automated response workflows.
Become a key contributor to evidence collection and gap analysis for SOC 2/PCI DSS readiness.
Within 6 Months, You Will:
Craft and implement enhanced detection rules for cloud infrastructure and workloads.
Develop internal runbooks/playbooks for streamlined incident triage and response.
Optimize alert fidelity, reducing false positives and dramatically improving the signal-to-noise ratio.
Partner with compliance to ensure our technical controls are perfectly aligned with SOC 2/PCI DSS frameworks.
Within 9 Months, You Will:
Lead incident simulations and tabletop exercises across cross-functional teams, honing our incident response skills.
Define key metrics and KPIs for security operations and monitoring performance, driving continuous improvement.
Champion initiatives to improve our overall cloud security posture (e.g., IAM hardening, secret management, container runtime visibility).
Become a trusted security subject matter expert, guiding us through audits and compliance check-ins.
What You'll Bring to the Table
Extensive experience in information security or security engineering, ideally within a fast-paced SaaS or Fintech environment.
A strong command of cloud-native security principles and hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Proven experience integrating monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, Panther, etc.).
Deep familiarity with common security frameworks like SOC 2, PCI DSS, and NIST.
Mastery of scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and integration.
Real-world experience with incident detection and response, and developing security operations runbooks.
Exceptional collaboration skills - you can work effectively across teams and influence without direct authority.
A pragmatic, systems-thinking mindset focused on scalability and measurable impact.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
