We're seeking a passionate and experienced IT Security Engineer to play a critical role in safeguarding our systems, devices, and data from evolving threats. This is a high-impact position reporting directly to senior management, where you'll be instrumental in ensuring our compliance and maintaining the integrity of our technology assets.
Your Mission:
Fortify Our Defenses: Implement and manage security tools and protocols to protect endpoints, systems, and data.
Threat Hunter: Proactively monitor and respond to potential security breaches and vulnerabilities.
Architect Security: Establish security standards, procedures, and policies for robust endpoint and system protection.
Risk Navigator: Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify and remediate security gaps.
Incident Commander: Lead incident response efforts in the event of data breaches or security incidents.
Compliance Champion: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support investigations and audits.
Security Advocate: Collaborate with IT, operations, and compliance teams to promote and enforce security best practices.
Educate and Empower: Train employees on data protection and cybersecurity awareness, particularly within operational areas.
What You'll Bring:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Experience: 2–3+ years of proven experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or information security roles.
Technical Skills: Hands-on expertise with endpoint protection, firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and security incident management.
Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of data protection laws, security frameworks, and compliance requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
Cloud Proficiency: Experience securing cloud environments with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Audit & Compliance (Bonus): Experience conducting internal audits and interfacing with regulators or compliance bodies is a significant advantage.
Independent and Agile: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Availability: Immediate availability is highly preferred.
