Are you ready to be at the forefront of securing the next generation of physical AI? Applied Intuition is seeking a visionary and hands-on Embedded Security Engineer to champion security across our cutting-edge vehicle platforms. This isn't just a role; it's an opportunity to define and implement the robust embedded security architecture that underpins the safety and integrity of our intelligent machines, leading initiatives across diverse platforms. We're looking for a multifaceted expert who can evangelize best practices and drive security innovation.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

Drive Security Vision: Proactively assess, define, and guide the security posture for our entire product lifecycle, from concept to deployment, across both existing and revolutionary new offerings.
Master Secure Boot Architectures: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of ironclad secure boot processes for our embedded devices, guaranteeing the uncompromised integrity and authenticity of all firmware and software components from the first byte of execution.
Integrate Hardware Security: Collaborate seamlessly with hardware engineering teams to expertly integrate and manage Hardware Security Module (HSM) solutions within our embedded systems, ensuring robust encryption, secure key management, and impenetrable cryptographic operations.
Embed Security into Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, quality assurance, and product management, to meticulously integrate security principles and practices into every stage of the product development lifecycle.

We're looking for someone who brings:

A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
5+ years of dedicated experience in a product or cybersecurity security engineering role.
Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure boot processes, HSM integration, and Board Support Package (BSP) maintenance for embedded devices.
A strong, foundational understanding of cryptographic principles, protocols, and algorithms.
Expert-level proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems development, such as C, C++, and Python.
Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks, protocols, and compliance requirements (e.g., FIPS 140-2, Common Criteria).

Bonus Points If You Have:

Proven experience working with automotive embedded systems, including Electronic Control Units (ECUs), in-vehicle networks (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet), and automotive-specific protocols (e.g., AUTOSAR).
Familiarity with automotive security standards and guidelines such as ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29, and the Automotive Cybersecurity Best Practices published by organizations like SAE International and Auto-ISAC.
Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics protocols (e.g., OBD-II, UDS) and Over-The-Air (OTA) update mechanisms used in automotive embedded systems, including critical security considerations for remote software updates and maintenance.

Compensation & Benefits: At Applied Intuition, our eligible roles offer a comprehensive total compensation package that includes a competitive base salary, equity (in the form of options and/or restricted stock units), and a robust benefits program.
