Our Collaborative Environment
We believe in the power of in-person collaboration to foster innovation and build strong teams. Our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. We also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. This in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions.

About the Role: New Grad Cybersecurity Engineer
Are you a passionate new grad ready to dive deep into building security from the ground up for cutting-edge vehicle platforms? Integrate Hardware Security Modules (HSM): Partner closely with hardware engineers to seamlessly integrate HSM solutions into embedded systems, mastering the intricacies of robust encryption, key management, and secure cryptographic operations.
Champion Security Throughout the Lifecycle: Collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams across software, hardware, QA, and product to proactively integrate security throughout the entire product development lifecycle.

We're Looking for Someone Who Has:

BS/MS degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a graduation date by December 2026 or Summer 2027.
Demonstrated experience (through coursework, internships, research, or impactful projects) in cybersecurity, embedded systems, or a closely related area.
A foundational yet solid understanding of cryptographic principles, protocols, and algorithms.
Proficiency in programming languages essential for embedded systems development, such as C, C++, and Python.
Exposure to security frameworks or compliance standards (e.g., FIPS 140-2, Common Criteria) through coursework or projects is a valuable plus.
A strong, insatiable curiosity about cybersecurity and an eagerness to rapidly develop expertise in secure boot, HSM integration, and Board Support Package (BSP) work.
Relevant project or work experience in any field (1+ year, or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Nice to Have (Skills that will make you stand out):

Internship, research, or project experience with automotive embedded systems, ECUs, in-vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), or automotive protocols like AUTOSAR.
Familiarity with automotive security standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 or UNECE WP.29.
Exposure to vehicle diagnostics protocols (OBD-II, UDS) or Over-The-Air (OTA) update mechanisms.
Participation in Capture The Flag (CTF) events, security research, or personal projects focused on embedded or IoT security.
