As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll be a critical guardian of our cloud-based platform. You will champion security best practices, mitigate risks, and ensure the continuous operation of our rapidly growing business.
What You'll Do: Be the Cloud Security Champion: Design, implement, and maintain robust security measures tailored to our cloud environment (GCP), protecting Ankorstore's digital assets and data. Enhance Security & Risk Management: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect us from evolving cyber threats, particularly in our cloud operations.
Ensure Business Continuity: Lead incident response in cloud environments, rapidly responding to security incidents to minimize disruptions and maintain our reputation for reliability.
Optimize Security Processes: Collaborate with the platform team to assess and enhance our cloud security architecture and protocols, implementing state-of-the-art practices and ensuring compliance.
Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP

Stack: Kubernetes, Istio, Flux, Terraform, Docker
Cloud Providers: Google Cloud Platform
Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana
Security Tools: Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, Falco, Open Policy Agent/Gatekeeper, Crowdstrike, YARA
Cloud Expertise: Strong knowledge of Cloud Security, particularly GCP and securing container-based workloads in Kubernetes.
Infrastructure-as-Code: Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code and the ability to maintain cloud resources.
Forensics Skills: Basic forensics skills on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
EDR Familiarity: Familiarity with common EDR technologies and IOC collection.
Threat Hunting: Experience in threat hunting.
Problem-Solving Prowess: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly under pressure.
Incident Response Leadership: In-depth knowledge of incident response protocols and procedures, including experience handling security breaches and leading incident response efforts in cloud environments.
Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
