Your Mission: Staff Corporate Security Engineer
As a Staff Corporate Security Engineer, you will be a critical guardian at the forefront of defending Airwallex’s enterprise systems and our global workforce. This highly technical role demands a seasoned professional capable of spearheading detection, investigation, and prevention of sophisticated threats like malware, phishing, and unauthorized access across a dynamic corporate environment.
You will be instrumental in elevating our security posture through advanced digital forensics, proactive incident response, and the strategic development and deployment of cutting-edge security tools. Your expertise will shield a diverse array of corporate IT platforms, from endpoints to critical identity providers, ensuring the integrity and resilience of our operations.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead or significantly contribute to incident response efforts, specializing in malware analysis, phishing defense, and comprehensive digital forensics.
Architect, develop, test, and evaluate innovative corporate security controls designed for a rapidly scaling global business.
Proactively hunt for emerging threats across vast log sources and perform deep-dive incident response investigations.
Engineer and implement sophisticated security alerts and workflows to optimize the entire incident response lifecycle.
Fortify corporate IT infrastructure, leading remediation efforts across identity providers, endpoints, corporate networks, and other critical platforms.
Strategically deploy, configure, and operate security tooling with an unwavering focus on measurable impact and efficacy.
What You'll Bring to the Team
Experience: 7+ years in a dedicated security engineering or incident response role within a fast-paced tech company. Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with industry-leading security monitoring tools such as Crowdstrike, Splunk, or similar platforms. Bonus Points For: Experience with major cloud platforms (GCP, Alibaba Cloud, or others). Mindset & Communication: A genuine passion for tackling the complex security challenges inherent in high-growth startups. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
In-depth understanding of common attacker tools, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), along with proven ability to detect, prevent, and respond to incidents with high investigative depth and quality.
Proficiency in securing endpoints, including experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tooling like Kandji, Intune.
Solid scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash, Powershell) for automation and tool development.
Familiarity with Okta, Google Workspace, and cloud-based VPN services.
Self-motivation and a relentless drive to continuously learn new skills and deepen existing expertise.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical security and software concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
