The Mission: Staff Corporate Security Engineer

As a Staff Corporate Security Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding Airwallex's enterprise systems and employees against evolving cyber threats, including malware, phishing, and unauthorized access.

This highly technical role offers the opportunity to detect, investigate, and prevent security breaches across our modern corporate environment. You'll be at the forefront of digital forensics, incident response, and security tool development and deployment, protecting a diverse range of corporate IT platforms, from endpoints to identity providers.

Your Impact:
Drive incident response efforts for malware, phishing attacks, and digital forensics investigations.
Design, develop, test, and evaluate innovative corporate security controls to support our rapid growth.
Proactively hunt for emerging threats by analyzing diverse log sources and security intelligence.
Develop and implement security alerts and automated workflows to streamline the incident response lifecycle.
Secure our corporate IT infrastructure and remediate vulnerabilities across identity providers, endpoints, corporate networks, and other critical platforms.
Deploy, configure, and optimize security tooling with a focus on maximizing impact and effectiveness.

What You'll Bring:
A genuine passion for tackling the unique security challenges of a high-growth startup environment.
Self-motivation and a strong desire to continuously learn and deepen your cybersecurity expertise.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in a security engineering or incident response role within a technology-driven company.
Expertise with security monitoring tools like Crowdstrike and Splunk.
A deep understanding of common attacker methodologies, detection techniques, and prevention strategies, along with the ability to conduct in-depth incident investigations.
Experience with cloud platforms like GCP, Alibaba Cloud, or AWS is a significant advantage.
Experience with identity providers like Okta, Google Workspace, and cloud-based VPN services is highly desirable.
Proven experience securing endpoints using MDM tooling such as Kandji or Intune.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
