The Mission:
As an Infrastructure Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing solutions that ensure a highly scalable and defensible cloud infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, continuously improving our security posture and protecting our valuable assets.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US, allowing you to contribute to our mission from wherever you work best.
What You'll Do:
Design, build, and maintain tooling, software, and systems for securing our cloud infrastructure.
Contribute to the delivery and success of infrastructure security projects across engineering teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define optimal security solutions for our infrastructure, balancing security with software development velocity.
What You Need:
Minimum of 3 years of combined experience as a software, infrastructure, and/or security engineer.
Proven track record of implementing, deploying, securing, and monitoring highly-available, critical production systems with broad company impact.
Hands-on experience with a variety of technologies and approaches in both the cloud infrastructure and security spaces; e.g., service identity, workload hardening, networking, authentication and authorization, software supply chain, etc.
Familiarity with AWS IAM and Identity Center, AWS Service Control Policies, and permission boundaries.
Ability to translate technical and compliance requirements into engineering execution.
Experience with software development (Golang preferred).
Experience with technologies we use at 1Password: AWS, Terraform, Okta, Kubernetes, and Linkerd.

USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $123,000 USD and $167,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $111,000 CAD and $150,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
